For the first time ever, Cambodian Children's Fund has been awarded a perfect 100% by Charity Navigator, the leading independent watchdog for non-profits. Charity Navigator rates organisations on their financial responsibility, their transparency and their governance. While we have been one of their top rated charities for seven years, this is the first time we have achieved a perfect score.
This matters because we want donors to know that their money is being spent as prudently as possible, every cent invested carefully in creating real change for the children and the communities they have chosen to support. That’s why we work so hard to keep our administration and fundraising costs minimal, and to be transparent in all our dealings.
Charity Navigator doesn't just hand out these ratings to anyone. In fact, just 51 out of the 8,000 charities rated by the watchdog have achieved this rating, which places us in the top 1% of all charities. This is what Charity Navigator say about their top rated charities: "The exceptional charities on this list execute their missions in a fiscally responsible way while adhering to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities. Each has earned perfect scores for its Financial Health and its Accountability & Transparency. Those two scores then translate into a perfect 100 point overall score. Less than one percent of the thousands of charities rated by Charity Navigator have earned perfect scores."
