The CCF Medical Centre officially has a new home, with CCF Founder Scott Neeson and longtime fundraiser and supporter Bob Tufts officially opening the new building at CCF’s Community Centre in Steung Meanchey.
In what was a very proud day for CCF, the new home for CCF’s Medical Centre was opened by Bob and Joan Tufts (photo on the right), following a small ceremony where local Buddhist monks blessed the building and CCF students performed a traditional dance.
Speaking at the opening, Scott said, “As a long-time supporter and fundraiser, Bob Tufts is part of the CCF family. Without Bob’s generous contribution, we wouldn’t be opening this fantastic new facility”.
Scott said, “Each year Bob raises a significant amount of money, and then travels to Cambodia to tackle his next project with CCF. We are so pleased that Bob and Joan are in Cambodia for the opening.”
The building will contain the new CCF Medical Centre, modern classrooms and provide temporary housing for new kids in the area.
The CCF Medical Centre, which provides free treatment to people from the local area, has had a huge response from the local community. With the Centre treating more than 3000 patients per month, it has outgrown its previous home.
The new building provides a modern, clean and secure facility for CCF’s doctors, medical staff and maternal care program to provide the care that the local community so desperately needs.
