Introducing the super seven students selected to represent CCF and their country at this year's Tony Robbins Global Youth Leadership Summit (GYLS).
There were smiles, cheers, and a few tears as their names were called out in a tense announcement.
Em Rita, Navy, Heng, Laihouy, Deit Rita, Theary, and Ratanak will travel to California in July for the five-day program empowering youth aged 14-16 to become young leaders and tomorrow’s change makers.
Thanks to The Tony Robbins Foundation, CCF has been sending students to GYLS for 16 years.
Many CCF students who attend return transformed with more confidence and self-belief.
I cannot wait to show off my potential
“When I told my mum, we were both sobbing with happiness,” says Diet Rita, 16, who is in Grade 11. “I have never left Cambodia before and am excited to have a new experience, knowledge, and perspective.”
Heng, 15, a Grade 10 student at our Neeson Cripps Academy, will fly the flag for CCF boys in America.“I cannot wait to show off my potential and engage with GYLS 2024,” he says.
All the students are now having extra English lessons at CCF's Neeson Cripps Academy high school before the GYLS event in the summer.
