A photo essay of the fire in CCF's Sambok Chab community, which has left 48 families homeless
On 17 March 2019, around 3pm a blaze, believed to have started in one house, swept through a small community in Steung Meanchey, Phnom Penh. Within half an hour, the community had burnt to the ground. 48 families, many supported by CCF and with children in CCF schools, were left homeless with nothing but the clothes on their back. An emergency relief operation swung into action with CCF's Community Outreach Team on the ground providing support and safety for the affected families, with help from outside organisations.
