Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds often face challenges in their studies due to a lack of resources.
Thanks to the generosity of Deloitte Cambodia, CCF university students now have access to 10 laptops, which will greatly support their academic journey. Leadership staff will also benefit from the donation, using the laptops to plan large-scale leadership events for high school students.
A team from Deloitte visited CCF's Neeson Cripps Academy to hand over the laptops and tour the school. They witnessed the inspiring potential of high school students, many of whom will hopefully become the next cohort of CCF university students.
This visit marks another milestone in the partnership, following last year's impactful engagement with Deloitte Cambodia, part of one of the Big Four accountancy firms in the world. Through their Deloitte GROW program, they brought the 'real world' of business into classrooms with a sustainable business and entrepreneurship workshop. This experience was invaluable for NCA students as they considered future possibilities.
Their dedication to our students over a series of weeks was incredible to see
“We were delighted to work with Deloitte staff from Cambodia and Malaysia in 2023 to run entrepreneurship and sustainability workshops for our students at the Neeson Cripps Academy. Their dedication to our students over a series of weeks was incredible to see, as they helped our students understand what skills they need to succeed in the world of modern business while ensuring that they are giving back to their own communities," said Claudia Turkington, CCF's Partnerships and Donor Relations Manager.
“These laptops will be used by our university students and leadership staff to help students when doing university projects, as well as for our leadership staff to help plan our annual leadership events for students."
