BREADTALK CELEBRATES CHILDREN WITH CCF

CCF partner Breadtalk joins International Children’s Day event with gifts and performances Bakery and food outlet Breadtalk helped Cambodian Children’s Fund celebrate International Children’s Day at a special event in Phnom Penh. The Cambodian franchise of the Singaporean bakery chain has been a valued supporter of CCF for a number of years and generously gives regular food donations for CCF children. At a event the day before International Children’s Day marked on June 1 in Cambodia, the company joined more than 100 CCF students and CCF Founder and Executive Director, Scott Neeson, in a celebration held at CCF’s community centre in the heart of the Steung Meanchey community where CCF works in one of the most impoverished parts of Cambodia. BreadTalk staff handed out gifts, including a Breadtalk branded backpack, as dance performances by CCF children were held on a small stage. “This a day for you,” Scott Neeson told the children. “It is a celebration of the rights of children, to be happy and to go to school and to be healthy.” Ly Daline, CEO of Cham & Ly Corporation, which runs the BreadTalk franchise in Cambodia, said the company was delighted to be part of the event. “We wanted to support CCF and celebrate with the children for their day,” she said. “CCF is one of the best organisations for providing care for children and we are very happy to be supporting this.”
