Under Scrutiny: a Financial Watchdog Rates CCF

CCF was recently listed on Charity Navigator, the largest and most used non-profit evaluation service and financial watchdog in the USA. Charity Navigator measures key financial criteria to rate the cost efficiency and soundness of an organization. Charity Navigator evaluates over 5,500 US-registered non-profits. In rating an organization, Charity Navigator uses key financial criteria: program expenses; admin expenses; fundraising expenses; fundraising efficiency; primary revenue growth; program expenses growth and working capital ratio. They also review the organizations donor protection policies, such as an on-line privacy policy. A minimum of four consecutive years of IRS filings is required. We are very happy to be able to tell you that CCF received the highest possible rating: 4 out of 4 stars! CCF's total rating was a remarkable 67.7 out of a possible 70, a result that easily places CCF among very top scorers. Our score sheet can viewed at: http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=12748. We encourage you to compare CCF to the larger charities, read what others say about us and see the definitive cost efficiency of your donation. While most of our supporters know CCF through the care we provide each child, the quality of our programs and our successes in dealing with critical issues, the Charity Navigator results provides an assurance that your dollars are being spent in the most efficient and sustainable way. We truly need your support. Now we can show that we not only have the programs but also a remarkable score on the efficient handling the your donations. Charity Navigator is featured in Business Week's "Philanthropy Hall of Fame" for "revolutionizing the process of giving". Kiplinger's Financial Magazine singled it out in 2006, 2007 and 2008 as "One of the Best Services to Make Life Easier" and Esquire Magazine recently said that using it was one of "41 Ways to Save the World." 27.8.2010.Photo1
