Transformation Tuesday: Lita

“See the house behind me? I live there with my family. That’s my little sister, but she’s too shy to come down. We didn’t always have a nice house like this. When I was young we lived in a village in the country, and my mother worked long hours every day as a scavenger. There wasn’t much money so we were often hungry.

“My father was sick, so he stayed behind when we moved into the city to find work. Sometimes I could play with friends in the street, but most days I scavenged with my mother in the hot sun. Things are different now that CCF is helping me attend school. If I study hard enough I can become a doctor – I will treat many people like my father, and make them healthy again.”
