Photos: Annual Youth Leadership Event Inspires

Sept. 12, 2014 – This past July, 11 of our students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Global Youth Leadership Summit hosted by the Anthony Robbins Foundation in the U.S.. All the students came back inspired and ready to pass on what they learned to their classmates. This month, they did exactly that.

The Annual Youth Leadership Event is organized completely by the students who attended the Global Youth Leadership Summit. For two different three-day sessions, 300 students developed their talents and focus on their goals with team-building games, guest speakers and thought-provoking exercises. It’s also a lot of fun, as our young leaders ensure it’s a high-energy event. It’s inspired by the event in the U.S. but it’s catered specifically to the students here in Cambodia.

It was a tremendous undertaking to organize two different sessions for the event, but the students rose to the challenge. Early in the first day of the event, CCF founder and executive director Scott Neeson urged the audience to become future leaders of Cambodia.

“Having you here and seeing the change that’s happening makes me incredibly proud,” Neeson said. “This Annual Youth Leadership Event has become such an important part of what we do.”
