Former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams Visits CCF

Cambodian Children’s Fund welcomed Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury, to tour its facilities and see the work that’s being done on the ground to help the impoverished Steung Meanchey community.

Williams heard about the organization and wanted to see the it for himself. He met staff and the kids with Scott Neeson, founder and executive director of CCF. The kids – always eager to meet new people – gathered around Williams at the Community Centre and enjoyed chatting with him.

Williams was on hand during photo day, where dozens of parents received framed photos of their children to decorate their homes.

After stepping down as archbishop in 2012, Williams went on to become master of Magdalene College in Cambridge. He was recently announced as the new chancellor of the University of South Wales.
