The role

The School Operation Officer will be responsible to work closely with senior school student information, activities, programs and students’ families, supervise Khmer General Education (KGE) teachers as well teachers of English in terms of their daily teaching operation at school. In addition, this role involves in education management on school operation, budget, CCF events and teaching and learning. Furthermore, the School Operation Officer supports and informs other main CCF programs which senior school students are engaged in. He/She will have to inform and deal with student’s cases regarding learning, family, and other concerned matters. Last but not least, it is required of the School Operation Officer to develop himself/herself professionally including operation, management, KEG academic and English language.

Reporting

Reports to: School Operation Coordinator
Manage: Teachers and students at NCA
Key Liaison: Education Management Team, Facility Management Team, Childcare

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide educational leadership and support to teachers through effective site management.

  • Conduct performance plan and appraisal in collaboration with Teacher Development Team (TDT) for teachers including classroom observation and spot checks to ensure teaching and learning quality in each class.

  • Assist in student and teacher’s timetable and students grouping (in discussion with Education Management Teams) in CCF for the academic year (English program, STEM program, and Khmer General Education Program).

  • Liaise with Curriculum and Education Project Coordinators to effectively use teaching and learning resources.

  • Coordinate and support volunteers who are assigned to teach in the classrooms. Provide feedback to Education Management Team and volunteer department for any comments or concerns related to volunteers.

  • Coordinate all required events which happen in CCF and including examination.

  • In Charge in preparing the budget plan and operational plan for site including overtime for education staff and monthly expenses.

  • Attend regular meetings, workshops and professional developments as required.

  • Work collaboratively with the line manager to produce reports as required.

  • Monitor and facilitate monthly examination and semester examination.

  • Be in charge of facilitating National Anthem and student assembly.

  • Classroom monitoring to make sure that all materials and other equipment are available and clean with good condition.

  • Manage student attendance/ monthly perfect attendance, student discipline, reporting, case management to reduce absences.

  • Arrange and support students to join training, event, workshop, or conference internally and externally.

  • Monitor teacher compliance in regards to punctuality (being on time), and organization & reporting.

  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annually attendance record.

  • Other tasks are assigned by line manager.

Requirements

  • Visibly ethical and able to demonstrate CCF values in day-to-day work.

  • Bachelor Degree of Education or management, or other related field.

  • At least 2-year experience in education or similar work. Knowledge of dealing with public school teacher in a professional manner.

  • Knowledge of Operations and facilities management.

  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and to prioritize work on multiple projects.

  • Highly detail-focused and results-oriented.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and implementation skills;

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multiple constituencies including parents, staff and students.

  • Team-player attitude and strong customer-service orientation.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet and Email.

  • Be honest and trustworthy, Patient, respectful and helpful.

  • Take responsibility, flexible and committed.

  • High compassion and commitment to work with community people and poor children.

  • Working Day: Monday – Saturday.
