2015 was the year Paris and James fell in love with Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) during their visit to Phnom Penh. They spent time visiting the schools run by CCF, as well as seeing other parts of the charity in action, such as the food programme, medical centre and a wonderful concert of singing, dancing and drama. Seeing first hand how CCF works with the community to remove any barriers to education was what confirmed to Paris and James that they wanted to support this unique charity.

Paris and James now sponsor two beautiful children, Sann and Rita. Paris’ mother, Sue, has sponsored many children, and is a close friend of Scott Neeson, Founder and CEO of CCF.

10 years ago Scott saw children scavenging for their survival on the notorious, burning and toxic garbage dump in Phnom Penh. Scott found he was no longer able to reconcile living such a privileged lifestyle as a top Hollywood movie mogul. After soul-searching, he sold up and moved to live permanently and work in this impoverished community, now caring for around 2,200 children.

In 2015, His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, visited Perth (Paris’ home town), and blessed the amazing work being done by Scott with the children and families of Cambodia. Paris’ mum, Sue, organised an event titled “Can you be Rich and Happy?” His Holiness was visibly moved by a video showing the extreme poverty that Scott encountered when he first visited Cambodia over 10 years ago.

On Saturday, 9th of April 2016, Paris and James are getting married! The happy couple have asked their guests to make a contribution to Cambodian Children’s Fund instead of purchasing a wedding gift.
