Medical Center

Built in 2009, CCF’s Community Medical Center is a freestanding clinic within our Community Center compound. Resourceful local doctors, nurses and a rotating volunteer staff of international medical professionals currently staff the clinic, providing free consultations and medicines to more than 900 impoverished patients every month.

Community Medical Center doctors provide individual care to patients of all ages, and assist in transporting emergency or surgical cases to area hospitals. In addition to treating patients, volunteer physicians fill a pedagogical role for CCF healthcare and childcare staff, training them in first aid, hygiene, patient assessment and guided intervention. Evenings at the Community Medical Center often find Founder Scott Neeson and staff distributing nutritional weight-gain supplement drinks to underfed and malnourished children from the area. “It is,” he says, “the best part of my day.”
