DayCare

In December 2007 we opened the CCF Daycare in our Steung Meanchey Community Center to address the needs of the district's most vulnerable residents. While they spend their days in our care, all of these children still live with their families in the Steung Meanchey villages.

This early education program is structured for children ages 3 – 6 to learn and play in a safe, caring atmosphere. Our Daycare students have healthy meals, fresh fruit and safe drinking water every day. Our on-site nurse and childcare staff monitor the children's health daily. We have also given these children complete childhood immunizations - a life-saving opportunity few children in Steung Meanchey ever receive.

Daycare students have lessons in Khmer and English and are learning about hygiene, manners and respect for others. They also have plenty of time for naps and structured and free play at our Community Center playground.
