In 2007 CCF partnered with A Child’s Right to begin offering an unparalleled safe drinking water program to the Steung Meanchey community – essential in an environment where 80% of illnesses are water-related. The water purification equipment installed in our Community Center removes  bacteria, viruses and cysts that can cause dangerous water-related diseases.

In keeping with our commitment to safe water storage and distribution, the CCF Community Center distributes free 20-litre water bottles to families and offers a bottle cleaning station near the water filter access to optimize water quality. Through this registered allocation, CCF is likewise able to track the scope of the CCF Community Center’s safe water program. It is not mandatory that individuals use a CCF water bottle for filling, and many area families use their own containers.
Steung Meanchy residents have free and unrestricted access to the purified drinking water at our Community Center.
